40 Balloons of Sunshine in Myrtle Beach

Some sunshine stories start with a single act of kindness, and this one starts with our very first donation. It came from someone who is currently battling stage 4 cancer, and the kindness of her heart made this whole delivery possible.

Because of her, we got to bless the individuals seeking treatment at the cancer center in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Myrtle Beach has been our family's annual vacation spot since I was a baby, so it only seemed fitting to spread a little sunshine while we were in town. We all got busy prepping a whole load of sunshine, smiley faces and stars and every happy color we could find.

A big bundle of smiley face, star, and You're So Special balloons, all blown up and ready for delivery, is carried to a car in a parking lot. — Balloons all blown up, and ready for delivery.

Before long, all 40 balloons were blown up and ready for delivery. A big, bright, bobbing bundle made to brighten spirits and bring both hope and encouragement. Pure joy.

Then Jim and Chance stood outside the cancer center, balloons and cards in hand, right before spreading sunshine. We can only imagine the smiles waiting on the other side of those doors.

Our prayer is for God to restore their strength and provide complete healing to their bodies. ☀️💛
