We ask for as little as possible, measure a little more than that automatically, and treat all of it with care. Here’s exactly what happens to it.

The contact, nomination, volunteer, and prayer/praise forms ask for your name, your email, and whatever you choose to write, like a phone number, your city, or the story behind a nomination. What you send is kept in the systems we use to run the charity, so we have a record of your request and whatever follows from it.
Every request, private or public, is sent the moment it arrives to a private Telegram chat that only our team can read, so someone can review it quickly. Requests marked Private are emailed only to our prayer circle. Requests marked Public are shared on our social media only after a team member reviews them and only with the permission you give on the form. Either way, you can ask us at any time to stop sharing or delete a request.
Submissions are used only to run Operation Floating Sunshine: reviewing nominations, coordinating volunteers, and replying to messages. We never sell or rent your information, and the only emails we send are replies you asked for and the updates described next.
Our contact, nomination, volunteer, and prayer forms have a small, already-ticked box that lets us send you occasional email updates: deliveries, stories, and ways to help. Untick it and you won’t hear from us that way, simple as that. Every update we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave anytime. Our separate newsletter signup requires you to tick its consent box; donating does not automatically subscribe you.
Netlify hosts this site and stores form submissions. We use HubSpot to organize requests, volunteer interests, and newsletter preferences. Prayer and praise review notifications include your name, email, and up to the first 3,000 characters of the request in our private Telegram review chat. Volunteer review notifications also use Telegram and include contact details and requested roles. Payments take place on Stripe’s checkout pages; card numbers never pass through our site. Our email provider delivers receipts and preferences links. Netlify also stores limited delivery status and keyed email hashes to prevent duplicate receipts and limit mail requests. We do not deliberately send form contents, donor contact details, payment-session IDs, or preferences tokens to Google Analytics.
Google Analytics helps us understand visits and which giving journeys reach checkout. It may use cookies and online identifiers and report device, browser, approximate location, and referral information. We send page views and limited checkout-stage events, not the contents of forms, names, emails, or payment credentials. Sensitive URL parameters are removed before our events are sent. A checkout event is not proof of a completed donation; Stripe is our payment record. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled. Google offers an opt-out browser add-on, and content blockers may also prevent analytics. Your theme choice stays on your device.
Please never include a child’s full name, medical details, or other sensitive personal information in a form. Nominations are for institutions (hospitals, wards, and shelters), never individual children or families.
You can ask us at any time to show you, correct, or delete anything you’ve submitted. Use the email below and we’ll take care of it.
